Kidnappers release three residents, abduct fresh two

Some gunmen, who’ve been terrorising residents of Isheri Oshun space of Lagos State, have once more kidnapped two residents of the realm.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the assailants, who wore navy camouflage, stormed Charles Nawbawgu Avenue on Tuesday and whisked away the 2 residents, recognized as Lawyer and one Baba Amira, an govt member of the group growth affiliation.

Our correspondent learnt that the gunmen attacked the group after releasing three residents they’d earlier kidnapped.

PUNCH Metro had reported that three residents of Ever Successful Avenue, together with two landlords, had been whisked away by the gunmen.

It was learnt that undisclosed sums of cash had been collected for the trio earlier than they had been finally launched.

A resident, who spoke on situation of anonymity, mentioned the gunmen returned round 8pm on Tuesday.

He mentioned, “They had been wearing navy camouflage. They really focused the CDA chairman, who had taken his household away. They had been leaving the person’s home after they noticed Baba Amirat on the way in which and so they took him.

“Additionally they kidnapped Lawyer, who was parking his automotive on his premises. The 2 males have been kidnapped. This has elevated the concern in the neighborhood. We reported to the police on the Isheri-Oshun division and the police have been patrolling the realm, however that has not allayed our concern.”

One other resident urged the federal government to intervene rapidly within the scenario, calling for navy bombardment of the creeks within the space.
